Maritieme Kunst- & Antiekhandel ‘Delfshaven’

Welcome

Historic Delfshaven is worth a visit! It is really a place where the visitor can breathe the air of the glory of the past, by visiting the VOC (East India Company), the Pilgrim Church, Piet Heyn and the 17th century warehouses, nowadays housing Museum De Dubbelde Palmboom and the former genever distilleries.

Since 1993 located in a restored monumental and listed building, formerly known as the Henkes Genever Distillery, we find the antique dealer Jasper Hooykaas. He is the owner of the Maritime Art and Antiques business “Delfshaven”, where the client / connoisseur will come across a substantial collection of nautical items. Examples: antique ship models, naval instruments, ship’s bells, nautical charts and topographic maps.

By describing himself as a member of the old school, it is not at all surprising to find also a wide choice of antiques of all kinds in the large and pleasant shop. Items like those in bronze, brass and silver, the finest Chinese and other porcelain, furniture, etc. too much to just mention.

N.B. “Maritime Art and Antiques” is also your address for restorations,
valuation and framing. One part of the collection that is really appreciable, concerns the very interesting variety of original prints, engravings and maps, all covering a wide choice of subjects and several centuries.

Over the years the business established its name as a reliable supplier of fine antiques, in particular to companies home and abroad. As a result there have been and still are regular shipments to many parts of the world from our gallery. The business motto is just short and simple : “quality and service”
